Inspiring communities to protect kea, New Zealand's unique mountain parrot

would you like to help out with any of our projects

There are a number of key kea conservation projects which we need on-going funding to support each year. These include our pure research projects (our summer surveys and nest monitoring to ascertain population status, productivity and survivorship), our threat mitigation work (predator control to protect nests and on-going repellent trials) and our community advocacy and education projects (our annual winter survey, development of education resources for schools and communities and development of our annual newsletter - The Nestor notabilis).

If you would like to help out with any of these projects, or would simply like to give a little to support our daily operations or purchase new equipment (whether smaller items such as radio transmitters and nest cameras or large items such as satellite transmitters and vehicles), please contact us directly to discuss or fill in the form.

Thank you!
