An exciting partnership between educators, will see a new kea education programme, Kea for Kids! rolled out to South Island schools at the end of May- June 2020.
Our Project Partners
Whoa! Studios (operated by the Whoa Performing Arts Trust)
KCT Volunteers (Cassie Crawford and Shelley Long)
Kea for Kids! will be delivered to primary age schools around the South Island during a 2 week period at the beginning of June. This NZ curriculum based project is aimed at students aged between 5 – 10 years old.
The programme will consist of:
- An initial visit from our volunteer educators, who will deliver a fun interactive 30-40 minute lesson (complete with short video clips from Whoa! Studios and ukelele songs about kea) to your students;
- Your class will be left with a full programme and resources which can be delivered throughout the rest of the term/year to fulfill your annual curriculum requirements.
- Once you have finished delivering the programme, we will ask you a few short questions to help us develop better education resources for schools and children in the future.
