Supporting Kea Recovery

April 2019 -2021 - $10,000/annum

This three-year partnership aims to support kea recovery through the support of kea conservation projects. Nelmac funds are untagged, which means we are able to direct money to where it is most needed each year and to help cover our operational costs.

As such $5,000 of these funds each year will be directed into supporting our Conflict Resolution programme.

As well as directly supporting the KCT's conservation efforts, Nelmac will focus on the removal of lead from DOC huts and buildings in Tasman and have committed another $10,000 to support DOC carrying out this work. Two Nelmac hybrid vehicles have also been branded with kea imagery and the Kea Conservation Trust logo, showcasing the partnership.
